Britain’s obsession with wellness has officially gone to the dogs as new research shows millions of Brits now share their self-care rituals with their pets.

According to a report by Peamutt Butter, almost one in five (20%) dog owners already take part in ‘dog yoga’ – while more than a third (34%) secretly want to give it a go.

But the wellness trend doesn’t stop there. A quarter (25%) of dog owners admit to running pamper routines for their pooches, from bubble baths to paw massages.

The amusing study showed nearly half (46%) of the 2,000 dog owners surveyed said their daily walk is as much about their own mental wellbeing as it is for the dog, while a third confess to planning their weekend social life entirely around their pet’s needs.

And the nation’s foodie culture has crossed over too, with one in five (21%) saying they enjoy ‘brunch moments’ with their dogs, whether that’s a café croissant or a creative lick mat to match their human’s breakfast.

Women are the biggest “dog pamperers”, with 36% saying they give their dogs regular spa-style treatments, compared to 22% of men.

Men, however, are twice as likely to do dog yoga (24%) and three times more likely to share post-workout dog and human friendly snacks.

Londoners top the list for ‘dog-human’ brunches (29%) and matching outfits (23%), while Northern England owners are most likely to host dog birthday parties (19%).

Sally Addenbrook, from Peamutt Butter, said: “We’re seeing a real shift in how people care for their dogs – it’s about shared moments, not just meals and the evening walk. Whether it’s a yoga stretch or shared snack time, Peamutt Squeezy lets owners connect with their dogs in a fun, easy way. It’s wellness but with wagging tails.”

With its easy-squeeze format and silky-smooth texture, Peamutt Squeezy is the perfect partner for playtime, training, or enrichment, bringing joy to Britain’s most pampered pups.
