FuzzyFunny – The Pet Proof, Waterproof Sofa Cover That Keeps Your Sofa Safe from Spills

Some time ago, sofa cover suppliers FuzzyFunny asked us to put their Scratch Resistant and Waterproof Sofa Throw Cover to the test.

With Meg, our constantly moulting white french bulldog, and Truffles the cat, who battle for territory and seating space on our office sofa, any furniture cover is going to get well and truly tested – so, challenge accepted.  Except we aren’t the kind of publication that puts on a cover for a photoshoot and writes a nice review.

Anyone can do that.

We are the kind that sticks it on the sofa for a few months of daily use and tries it out in the real world!  So, the pic above shows how it looked when we added to the sofa on arrival.

And, having had the cover on our sofa since May, I’m happy to say that the pic below is exactly the same cover three months later.

No surprises, the initial unboxing had a lovely soft cover in an attractive colour – but then the same can be said for every sofa cover we have ever bought.  Sadly, a week later, they’ve usually looked like the ‘dog bed’.  Which is fair enough because the sofa is pretty much our dog bed, it’s where Meg sits when I am working and where she sleeps at night, joined by Truffles, our old cat.  I didn’t have high expectations but I needn’t have worried because this one does what it says on the tin.

Meg is NOT the ‘sit and look cute on command’ bulldog – more the ‘chase-me-round the muddy garden with whatever I have stolen today’ – kind of bulldog.  Nevertheless, as you can see, this sofa cover has stood up pretty well to daily use (it’s where both cat and dog sleep) after three months of daily use!  No trickery, no filters, it hasn’t been cleaned for a pic, I took it off, shook off all the dog hair and here it is – no tricks.  Pretty good result, I’d say!

All the spills have wiped off and not been absorbed and generally it’s been a great addition to the office (which is the room they also sleep in).

So, would I recommend this product? Absolutely 5 Stars.  It’s not fallen off the sofa, unlike the blankets we used before which were on the floor each morning, it’s not moved, it’s got plenty of hairs every morning but they don’t stick to it, a quick shake and they fall off easily.  As for spills?  They just slide off leaving the sofa dry (although the spills are usually me spilling my tea, not Meg!)

As for Meg’s muddy paw prints – they just dry and brush off.  All in all this cover has been brilliant.

In short, the sofa has stood up to far more with the cover on than our cheap and cheerful E-Bay sofa would have done without it.  Wish I’d had one when my kids were young and brought their painting onto my brand new cream sofa!!

So the ultimate question, now I’ve tried it, would I buy one?  YES!  In a heartbeat.  Great product and perfect for protecting your sofa from the paws in your life.
