Reggie the Radfield Teddy Finds His New Home After Raising £735 for OPAL Tarporley Tarporley, Mid Cheshire

A much loved community campaign in Tarporley has come to a heartwarming close, with Reggie the Radfield Teddy finding his new home after helping raise £735 for OPAL Tarporley. The fundraising total will support older people across Tarporley and Mid Cheshire through OPAL’s Activity Club.
Reggie’s journey around Tarporley saw him visiting local businesses, meeting residents, and bringing people together through a raffle that encouraged connection and community spirit. After several weeks of activity, the lucky winner visited with his Dad to collect Reggie in person, marking a special moment for everyone involved.
The funds raised will help OPAL (Older People Active Lives) Tarporley continue providing companionship, social activities, hot meals and transport for older people who may be at risk of isolation.
Geoff Hope Terry, Chair of OPAL Services, joined Robert Dancy, Director of Radfield Home Care Tarporley & Mid Cheshire, to proudly share the total amount raised. The moment reflected the strength of local support for charities that help older people remain connected within their own community.
